About Me

Hi, I’m Sydney!

I’m an Indiana-based writer who spends a lot of time thinking about film, television, music, and why we become so attached to the things we love.

My writing lives somewhere between entertainment criticism, cultural commentary, and personal essays. I’m especially interested in the ways media intersects with nostalgia, relationships, and the little experiences that shape who we become.

I’m working toward a career in entertainment journalism, with a particular interest in interviewing actors, filmmakers, and other creatives to help tell the stories behind the work we see on screen.

When I’m not writing, I’m watching a movie or TV show, going to a concert, keeping up with award season, or out apple picking!

“I want to know why you made it, what you meant by it, and what you hope people feel when they see it.”
